Added Dungeoneering Skill
by James on Apr.12, 2010, under News
Added the just released Dungeoneering skill to the hiscores in the client.
I would also like to mention a feature of Fire Client. If you have all skills but one listed in the Hiscores (if it’s under lvl 30 for example), it can automatically figure out the level, and experience of the missing skill. Below is an example of this. The player Viperking had level 4 Dungeoneering at the time of this post, but it wasn’t listed in the hiscores.
When the snapshots were taken, Viperking was near the top of the hiscores.
The player Viperking has absolutely nothing to do with Fire Client (to my knowledge).

by James on Mar.06, 2010, under News
Here are the updates to version 4.2.12
- Updated world map to a more recent version (missing the new castle in the wilderness)
- Changed all references to Hitpoints to Constitution
- Fixed a problem with Fire Client crashing after you close it (hopefully)
- Various tweaks throughout the client
Also, Fire Client will no longer be getting new features. I will continue to fix bugs until the new client is out though.

Yay for fixes!

- World map now shows what level of wilderness you are in (useful for clue scrolls)
- You can now delete the stored world maps now, by going into the options and clicking the “Delete World Map” button
- When entering a quantity into the GE calculator, you can enter math formulas now like “100*125″ or “ExpDiff(80, 99) / 75″ (that calculates how many it takes to get from 80 to 99 fletching using yew longs)
- Renaming timers should work properly now
Some more updates + another sneak preview
by James on Nov.06, 2009, under News
Here are the updates for version 4.2.7.
- Added RuneScape Classic support (Enable it in the settings and reset the client)

- Added a cost calculator into the Grand Exchange tab. View an item and press buy/sell to add it to the list.

- While you hold down the Alt key, any popup tabs will fade out and you can click through them.
- Added recent herblore updates to the skill calculator.
Finally, here is another update on the new client. There is going to be a tab for the new Adventure Logs. It will grab the stats, pictures, recent events and quest status for a player.

(The name in the above picture was chosen at random off the RuneScape forums)
This new client should be done sometime in 2010.

Here are the updates for version 4.2.6.
- Image blurring should not crash anymore
- Updated skill calculator
- Added Runescape RSS feed to the news page
- Changing themes does not hide the window anymore
Soon there will be RuneScape Classic support and a Rune Sudoku Solver.
Also, I am working on a new client for both RuneScape and MechScape. It will only work on Windows 7 and Vista, but it will definitely have a video recorder, a much better gallery for both snapshots and video, and every feature of Fire Client 4 from the release date.
Here is a snapshot of this new client:

Fire Client 4.1 out
by James on Dec.29, 2008, under Updates
Several bugs have been fixed since the initial release at the beginning of the month, and a semi-auto login has been added. You can now set the RuneScape tab to start automatically, there is a basic calculator now, errors are handled much better now, and you can create accounts with the client too.
To use the auto-login, at the login page in RuneScape, go to the screen where you enter your account info, select an account in the auto login dropdown and click the arrow button to type in the info.
I plan on adding some more features to the client like image cropping and blurring to help keep usernames private. An IRC chat is in the works, but it may take quite some time to complete. Also, a world map with a clue coordinate locator will be added eventually.
Also, thanks for all the support.
Fire Client 4 Is Out
by James on Dec.01, 2008, under News
Fire Client 4 is out.
I have been working on this client for a few months now, and now it’s ready for public usage. The client does not have all features yet due to various reasons, but should be comming soon. If you want to see any new features or if you have any problems running the client, make sure to register to RSForums.org and post in the forums.
